Raising money for Brain Injury

Bexx’s Personal Thanks

My Dad – Without you I wouldn’t be where I am today. You were there for me through the hardest times of my life, and you continue to be a brilliant father to me.   You have taken on the role of caring and looking after me and my younger brother. I know I have caused you some trouble, but you have always stayed strong and been there for me during the good and the bad times. You have believed in everything I’ve done, including working towards making this song and releasing it for charity. I really cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me and I love you lots.

Jennifer Berry – thank you so much for working with me during rehabilitation where you made challenging activities very enjoyable and achievable, after 2 years of working with me I became much more self-believing and independent. You were someone different, you saw something in me that no-one else had ever seen, and I’m so happy to still have you in my life. You are so kind and caring, and much fun to be around. You believed in me like no-one else had ever done before, so much so that you inspired me to do something that I would never have imagined I could do – write a song and then sing it and take it further. Since beginning the song workshop, we have become such close friends and you have been and continue to be one of the most amazing and important people in my life. You do so much for me and I really do appreciate it all. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank you enough, but seriously without you, my life would not have been as good as it is today. You are brilliant, and I hope you stay in my life forever.

Jon Buckett – Huge thanks to you for offering to work with me on composing and recording my song.  You helped me to decide on the structure of Smile and understand what the song was really about. Without you, my song would not have a musical accompaniment – we worked together on writing the piano notes, and you agreed to play the piano on the recording, as well as allowing the piano, vocals and backing vocals all to be recorded at your studio. Before working with you, I had never sung with a microphone, but you encouraged me to do exactly that – in the kitchen for the first time and then in a studio. You introduced all of the musicians into the project, and you co-produced the song with Colin.

Colin Moulding – Thank you so much for dedicating so much of your valuable time to work on this project.

Dave Franklin – thank you for becoming interested in what I was doing with my song project and for writing such a wonderful review.

Lee Knott – Thanking you for making what was a difficult task for me, such fun. I learnt to use words in a more creative way, which inspired me to write poetry and songs.  It also taught me how to use words to show how I feel and also helped me to decide on a song title.

Lee Moulding – thank you for playing drums on my song.

Mathew Hamilton Green – thank you for spending so much of your valuable time creating this website and the music video for Smile.
